I've been thinking about this for a while and it's been on my heart but I was hesitant because I don’t want to sound condemning. That’s not what this is. It’s a genuine concern for our children.

The song “Soda Pop” is so catchy and has gone viral everywhere. I’ve seen cosplays, dances, reels on social media and now will even be on instant noodles packaging.

Maybe you’ve heard it too and didn’t think much of it. But recently my second born told me that their teacher plays it in class every morning and afternoon, and that’s when I grew really concerned.

Because maybe some parents aren’t aware of what the movie is actually about. Maybe you’ve only heard the song and thought it was fun. But if you haven’t watched the movie, I encourage you to.

I have. And even though it may sound like a love story with a nice ending, it’s actually about demons. Some of the scenes were very disturbing, even for me as an adult.

Some parents might say, “But my kids are not scared.” But the question is, what are we exposing them to? What seeds are being planted in their hearts and minds? A movie might fade from memory for us, but for children, the images and messages often stay.

I am so glad he told us because my husband and I took this as a teaching opportunity to talk to our kids about the spiritual realm and that hell does exist.

The next day, my little one came home and told us that he has been telling his friends, “This movie is about demons, don’t sing the song.” Even though it often falls on deaf ears, I’m proud of his bravery. He even told his teacher.

My prayer is that in these small moments, our children will grow to discern for themselves and be bold in standing up for their beliefs, rather than simply following trends.

As parents, let’s be the ones to guard our children when they’re still too young to discern for themselves. This isn’t about condemnation. It’s a call to discernment.

Those little cards meant so much to him. He would proudly show me every single one he received. And that’s when it finally hit me. I saw the impact teachers can have on young hearts through something as simple as a note.

It was about celebrating little milestones. 💛

I never really liked cooking. It always stressed me out. Having to get the perfect amount of ingredients at the perfect time for the perfect dish, it just felt too much. So most of the time, I stuck to the easy things. My air fryer and pressure cooker have been my best friends.

But this year, due to a change in schedule, I’ve been cooking almost every day. Nothing fancy, just simple meals and on some rare occasions I will try a new dish.

This week, I did something I never thought I’d do. I decided to try fish curry. In my head, it always sounded too complicated, and I was honestly scared it would not be nice. But I pushed past that fear, took it one step at a time and it turned out so much better than I expected.

That’s when I realised that it was never about the dish itself. It was about the courage to take a small step, to try something new, to face a fear.

Just like the food we eat daily nourishes us without us even thinking about it, the little steps we take each day also grow us in ways we don’t always see.

So here’s my gentle reminder: keep going. Celebrate those milestones, no matter how small they seem. One day, you’ll look back and realise those little steps were never little at all.

We had been thinking and planning a birthday surprise for our firstborn for quite some time. We wanted something the whole family could enjoy, an experience we could all remember. USS felt like the perfect choice! The boys are finally at the right age for most of the rides.

But when I saw the ticket prices, my heart sank. It felt like so much money for just a few hours. And just the week before, we had to bring him to A&E for a skin infection, which meant extra expenses. I kept delaying the decision, convincing myself it might rain or that we should wait until he was fully healed. But deep down, I just felt it was a waste of money.

That’s when my husband gently reminded me, “Don’t worry about it. Let’s book the tickets. God already provided for it.” And he was right. During his last reservist the week before, he had unexpectedly received a commendation letter and gift. I hadn’t realised it until then. God had already made provision for our son’s birthday surprise before I could even see it.

It reminded me of something I so easily forget: God loves my firstborn more than I do. He knows the desires of their little heart, and He knows how to provide for them in His perfect timing.

And so we went. The boys had the best time at USS, tired and cranky at moments, but full of joy. My heart is full. Praise the Lord who provides, sometimes in ways that may go unnoticed, but always right on time.

A simple card changed my life twenty years ago!

Someone asked me recently why I chose to have a postcard business. It was the first time anyone had ever asked me that question. Most of the time, people tell me that nobody writes cards anymore, so I should not have started a business based on cards. But I knew my answer without hesitation.

I came to Singapore at the age of 19, young and alone, and it was my first time travelling overseas. Uni life was great, but it was also tough. In my final year, I went through a painful breakup. The girls I stayed with in my hostel gave me a Christian book along with a handwritten card. They were not sure how I would take it because I was a Hindu then, but twenty years later I still have that book and card. I remember how every chapter spoke to me in a way that I could not have imagined at the time.

That moment stayed with me all these years because it showed me that words and encouragement can go far beyond what we can see.

So when Nathan told me that his Chinese teacher was leaving to return to China, we decided to write him a note of encouragement for his next season. As Nathan watched me write, he noticed I had written the word “God” and said, “My teacher doesn’t know God.” I told him that it does not matter. What matters is that a seed has been sown, and one day, his teacher might come to know God.

I want Nathan to grow up knowing that every drawing, every card, can mean something to someone. This is the reason why ChezHemdi exists, to keep sowing seeds of encouragement that God can grow in ways we may never see.

Then I watched the NDP with my family and teared up during the last song, “This is Home.” Singapore really does feel like home.

It didn’t make sense why I was still holding on to my Mauritian passport after so long. But the more I thought about it, the more I realised that letting go feels scary. Letting go felt like losing a part of my identity. It felt like I was giving up on my birthplace, on my roots, and in some way even giving up on my parents.

But with God, letting go doesn’t have to be the end of something beautiful. It can be Him pruning for better things, making space for what is next, and preparing our hearts for new seasons.

Now that I’m a mother, I want to be more present with my boys while they are still young. I have let go of my corporate job to learn to slow down. It hasn’t been easy. Letting go of friends and colleagues and now working alone most days when I am an extrovert has been one of the toughest things for me. But it has taught me to be intentional in building relationships with my boys and the wonderful friends God has brought into my life.

Passions evolve. I have always loved telling stories in video and creating videos to encourage and bless. But maybe, just maybe, I put my identity in that without realizing it. When God asked me to let it go, it was the hardest thing ever. I remember applying for a job I really loved and even going for an interview. But that Sunday during praise and worship, God asked me to retract my application. It was painful, but letting go led me to discover my passion for watercolors and paint and new ways to encourage and bless others.

If you are facing your own letting go right now, remember it is not losing. It is making space. It is becoming. And with Him, nothing is wasted. Every change is shaping you for the good things He has ahead.

Nothing is TOO trivial for God. 💛

As I unwrapped this palette, I couldn’t stop smiling at His goodness and perfect timing. I’ve followed @ohgloriousclay and always admired her beautiful palettes. But even though I love having a paint palette, I kept telling myself it’s just something pretty to have. Not something I need. So I didn’t want to spend on something so trivial.

Last Nov, she was having a pop-up and I thought I’d go have a look, maybe gift one to myself for Christmas. But with mum duties and all, I couldn’t make it. I messaged her even though we’d never met, just to say I was sad I missed it. And to my surprise, she offered to gift me one that had a tiny defect she couldn’t sell. I was so shocked and of course, super happy.

But we just couldn’t find the right time to meet for me to collect it from her. Every time we tried, something came up, the kids fell sick, school homework, busy schedules so it got forgotten.

Then a few weeks ago, she DMed me again to say she was visiting a church and saw my photo at the book counter. And I replied, “That’s my church!!” So last weekend, we finally met in person at church and she passed me the palette.

I just took it out of my bag today and unwrapped it to use and it hit me. I had just cleaned my table after a creative block, to make space for painting again. And it felt like God saying, “Here’s a little something to make this moment even more joyful.”

What perfect timing. What an amazing God.

She probably doesn’t know this but ChezHemdi means “At Hemdi’s house”. And the fact that this palette has a little house and flowers on it just made it even more meaningful to me. 🥹✨

Sometimes we think that these little things — these heart desires — are not necessary. Especially as mums. But I’m learning that God hears them all. He sees our hearts. And there is no such thing as a small prayer.

He’s a good Father.
He knows you.
And He loves to surprise you. 💛

There are days when it’s definitely hard, the tantrums, the mess, the mental load, the things I’ve had to lay down in this season as well as the fear of the unknown.

But when I do this with God, it feels light. He carries the weight I was never meant to hold.

And I’ve seen how He came through again and again in the small moments, in the open doors, in the encouragement from all of you.

If you’re in a season where things feel heavy, I just want to remind you, it doesn’t all rest on your shoulders. You don’t have to strive your way through it.

Bring it to God. Let Him walk with you, lead you, carry the weight, and give you peace.

He is with you every step of the way. 🤗 Hope this encourages you.

It’s already August, and if I’m honest, I’ve had moments where I’ve looked back and wondered what have I really accomplished this year? Everything feels like it’s moving so quickly, and yet at the same time, I feel slow. Stuck, even. Like I’m trying, but not seeing much to show for it.

But God reminded me of something simple the other day, something I needed to hear again. Seeds take time to grow. And not all growth is loud or obvious. Some of it is quiet, hidden beneath the surface. Steady. Slow. But still very real.

It brought to mind the Parable of the Sower. Jesus didn’t focus on how fast the seed grew. He talked about the soil. And when the seed fell on good soil, it bore fruit—thirty, sixty, a hundredfold. The focus wasn’t speed. It was fruitfulness.

So I’ve been asking myself, “What does fruit look like in this season?” Maybe it’s not something I can measure with numbers or big wins. Maybe it looks like being more patient with my kids. Choosing faithfulness over productivity. Trusting God even when I don’t see results yet. Letting go of the pressure to prove myself.

And maybe that’s true for you too. Maybe fruit right now looks like quiet obedience. Small acts of kindness. Just showing up, even when it’s hard.

You’re not buried. You’re planted. And He’s still tending your soil. Still working beneath the surface. Still growing something good in you.

So if you’re feeling slow, stuck, or behind—take heart. You’re still growing. And He’s not done with you yet. Let's grow together and I hope this encourages you.

And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 (ESV)

I didn’t realise that her little note would encourage me not just once, but twice until today.

That day, I was dragging myself to the pop-up. I had stayed a bit longer at church, and truthfully, I didn't feel like showing up.

And when I reached, I saw her familiar face and I felt a little better.

She was already there, waiting for me. A customer turned friend who always makes the effort to drop by whenever she can.

She quietly handed me a little note. I tucked it into my bag and didn’t open it until later that night. Her words were simple but sincere and they reached somewhere deep in me. Like God was using her to whisper something He wanted me to hear.

Fast forward to today, I read the note again. And as I read it, it brought a smile and the perfect encouragement I needed. Her words carried even more weight now than they did the first time because today I felt a little lonely on this journey.

I didn’t know it then, but that little note was a seed of encouragement that would bloom again weeks later.

It reminded me that God always sees. That even when we’re weary, He doesn’t forget. And He sends people often quietly, gently, and exactly when we need it.

So if you’ve been feeling a little tired on this journey, I just want you to know: He sees you too. And He hasn’t forgotten. Whether it’s a note, a smile, or someone showing up at just the right time, He knows what your heart needs, even before you do.

You might’ve seen him at some of the bigger pop-ups, the ones that totally drain him but he still shows up. Because he’s always been in this with me.

Have you ever asked God what’s next for your children?

Back in 2023, this dad went on a hike in Jeju to raise funds for a charity. During the trip, he was praying and asking God about the road ahead for his teenage kids. And he felt God gave him a verse from Lamentations 3 — a promise to hold on to.

So when the couple approached us to illustrate their family’s journey of faith and the different milestones along the way, we just couldn’t say no because it was such a meaningful project.

We used a winding mountain path since hiking has always been something special to them. Along that path, we painted the places and moments where they had seen God provide and show up — like memorial stones for their children to remember His faithfulness.

It was such a great time as we showed them the full picture on the wall where it would be. And a full family affair for us too. The boys had so much fun running around, had a good swim, and we all enjoyed a long lunch catching up. Of course they totally KOed on the way to church after that 🤭

Lately I’ve been feeling like I’m not enough. And like I’m lagging behind. Everything I’ve been told says to run harder, push further, and keep going until you grow something big. But the truth is, my days look very different now. Just a few hours of focused work in the morning before I switch back into mum-mode once school ends.

And I’ve tried to do both, reply to messages or something while helping with homework but I end up frustrated and guilty for not being fully present in either space. I already feel like I’m not doing enough, and yet God says hustle less. What does that even mean?

It’s not easy. But God has been gently showing me that less hustle doesn’t mean less worth. That just because I’m doing less doesn’t mean I’m failing. That choosing presence, even when it slows me down, is not a waste. It’s trust. It’s obedience. And sometimes obedience doesn’t feel productive but it’s still enough.

So if you’re in a season where you’re doing less than you used to, or you’re wondering if it’s enough — I hope this encourages you. He is enough. He provides enough. We’re never in lack. And we don’t have to do this alone.

If I could sit with her now, I’d tell her this: you’ll learn what it means to walk by faith, even when things don’t make sense and you feel like quitting. You’ll learn to surrender and trust God, even when it’s painful and even when it’s something you really wanted. You’ll realise that some doors close not because you are not good enough, but because He’s protecting you. You’ll see how He provides for your family, your business and your heart in ways you never imagined. You won’t always feel ready or confident, but you’ll keep going, and you’ll find joy and purpose in the quiet, ordinary moments. God’s hand is in all of it. And that’s more than enough.

There are still days I feel unsure. Days I wonder if I’m really the right person to do this. Everyone else seems to be better at this than me. But I’ve seen how God shows up sometimes in big ways, sometimes in the tiniest details and that gives me the courage to keep going. And I know I can trust Him to lead me 🙌

I was so shocked to see her. We met briefly last Sat but didn’t get to talk to each other. I only remember my husband and I were waiting for our Grab at the entrance of the yacht club, and we got distracted as a big aeroplane flew by and this lady said, “Oh your luggage is rolling away!” 🙈

So you can imagine my shock when I saw her again. And what shocked me even more was when she said, “The Lord asked me to come and I’m here… but I don’t know what I’m doing here!” She said she was drawn to view my IG last weekend after the event, and the whole week the Lord impressed on her to come to the pop-up. And so she came and said she wanted to bless me with hot ToastBox teh in a flask 😱 and sushi for my boys 🥹

I was so so so touched. I told her how Saturday was a little discouraging since it was quiet at the pop-up (which happens), and that morning I told my husband I didn’t feel like going and just wanted to stay in bed. She encouraged me and said, “The Lord sees you and your family.” 🥹

We both ended up in tears and went to sit behind the booth to catch up a little more as I had my ToastBox 😍 I was reminded this is why I show up even on hard days. The Lord knows and He sends people to encourage and bless me. God is so good 🙌🥹

Another vulnerable sharing about what's been on my heart lately 🥹

Sometime last year, an event organiser reached out to invite me to a big craft market they were planning for August. It sounded really promising. But the moment I saw the dates, I said no. It was my son’s birthday weekend. And I had made a quiet commitment to always block out my kids’ birthdays.

At the time, I didn’t think too much of it. But just recently, a few of my crafter friends told me they were joining the same event. And suddenly, I started questioning if I had made the right call. I even started to think, maybe we could celebrate on another day? Maybe I said no too quickly?

Then last Saturday, I was at Ten Butter Fingers’ 10th anniversary celebration. She shared her journey and how she took one step of courage at a time to always block out her kids’ birthdays. And when her daughter said her best childhood memories were the 1-on-1 birthday lunches with her mum, I just went “awww” and felt that quiet, gentle nudge in my spirit. Like the Lord was whispering, “You did the right thing to block out the dates! Have courage. Trust Me.”

We usually have pop-ups every month, but there’s nothing lined up in August. I was starting to panic a little. Like...um, where is my pay check going to come from? I even went to check if the event was still open for applications. And for a moment, I thought about applying. So I asked the Lord again, “Should I go for it?” But He reminded me, “Trust Me. I am your Shepherd. You will not lack.”

So after much wrestling and surrendering, I’m choosing courage. Choosing to trust Him. Choosing to protect what really matters, even when I’m feeling scared. If you’re standing at a similar crossroad having to make tough decisions, I just want to remind you that the Lord is your Shepherd. He will lead you to green pastures. You will not lack.

Because the truth is — sometimes walking in obedience means making hard decisions that look like they’ll lead to less. Less income. Less opportunities. Less visibility. But more often than not, they lead to more of what really matters. Let’s keep walking in faith together.

Running your own business isn’t always pretty. It’s a constant juggling act with motherhood, and there are days I quietly wonder if it’s all worth it.

Today I was packing your orders from our Anniversary Sale (thank you 🤗🥹) and my son just lay on the floor doing his own thing. I asked him to go to his room to play with his toys but he came back and sat beside me. He just wanted to be near.

We were listening to K-Love radio as I packed and the song "Famous For" came on. Out of nowhere he whispered, “Mummy, I’m not famous for anything.” with a sad face.

I paused and my heart just stopped for a bit.

We started talking about Jesus and how He began His ministry at 30. He replied, "Wow, that’s old!" 😂
Then he said his friend is famous because everyone talks to him.

We chatted a little more and ended up with this simple but yet profound reminder.
We’re not created to be famous.
We’re created to love others and share about Jesus.

Some people share while they’re famous. Some do it quietly, unseen.
But all of us, in every season and every role, get to reflect His love.

And I was reminded that’s what this platform is about.
Not being known.
But making Him known. 💛

And having the unhurried time to have these kinds of conversations when they just happen makes it all worth it.

Every year for our wedding anniversary, we try to learn something new and make something with our hands. A workshop, a class, something we’ve never done before. But this year, nothing quite fit so we decided to paint a canvas together at home.

We didn’t have a plan. No sketch, no fixed idea of how it should look. Just the two of us, painting on the same canvas.

I’ve always painted on my own, so this felt different. A little intimidating, honestly. It’s hard enough to create freely by yourself but bringing two artists together to make something as we go? That felt like walking a tightrope.

I kept asking, “Is this ok? I think I messed it up with this patch here.” But he looked at me and said, “It’s ok. Just keep painting.” And he meant it.

So I did. And because of his trust, little by little, I started to try new things. I added colour where it didn’t quite make sense. I layered. I covered over bits. I explored.

What surprised me most was how he never tried to fix or change what I added. He adapted. He saw the artwork evolving and kept building on it. We both gave each other space. We weren’t critical. We each allowed God to direct our hands instead of trying to control the outcome.

It really felt like we were doing this together. With every stroke, I felt a little more free. Free to try something new. Free to make mistakes. Free to be me — knowing he wouldn’t judge me for it.

We took turns. Painted over each other’s bits. Added things that didn’t make sense at first. But somehow, step by step, it started to come together.

When we finally sat down to look at it, we saw so much meaning in the finished piece. It was layered, full of movement, grace, and unexpected beauty just like us.

I think that’s what marriage is too. Not about getting it perfect or having everything figured out. But about showing up with open hands and soft hearts. Making space for each other’s mistakes and struggles. Learning to trust. Learning to let go. Choosing to stay curious instead of critical. Choosing love, even when the outcome isn’t clear.

Lately the boys have been planning all the countries they want to visit. And the list is long. Japan is at the top because my firstborn loves sushi. Then the younger one said China because he really wants to see pandas and snow. Mauritius is on the list to visit their grandparents. Australia got added after they met my friend who came from there. And from there the list just kept growing.

I have been listening, asking questions, joining in their excitement but deep down I felt bad. Since I left my stable job we have not travelled much. We moved house. Had a baby. We have just been trying to get back on our feet.

Now that they are older and hearing about their friends holidays they have been asking more. And I started to wonder if I have been shortchanging them. Social media does not help. Seeing families go overseas and reading things like how important it is to expose children to different cultures.

I tried to talk to them about the countries they want to visit and what they want to see or eat there but deep down I felt bad. Like I was keeping their hopes up when I was not even sure if we could ever go.

So I brought it to God just poured it all out. And He reminded me of these verses "The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want." And Matthew 6 "Do not worry about tomorrow." Recently we did a commissioned wall mural for a family. The Lord gave them a verse to remember their journey and to mark His faithfulness and what He brought them through.

And I was reminded to do the same. Slowly I remembered...

- Mauritius after six years since our last trip there and a freelance job came in just in time to cover the trip.
- Batam a mission trip where the boys got to serve other children.
- Hong Kong after the P1 transition struggles we finally went and Disneyland was the highlight.
- Malaysia a one day mission trip and later church camp with our community.

We may not have travelled the world as the boys would have wished for but we have gone where He has led and He has always provided.

This post is just a little reminder to myself and maybe to you too to look back and remember what He has already done.

He has been so faithful and I pray this brings you hope.

There were so many days I wasn’t sure if I was doing enough. There were many tears. As a mum. As a business owner. As someone who left a stable job to walk by faith.

It wasn’t loud or shiny. Most days it was quiet, unseen — just me showing up again, even when I felt like I had nothing left.

But even in those moments, He was there. Carrying me. Providing in ways I couldn’t have planned. Reminding me: “You’ll be in My heart — always.” 💛

So this one’s for the ones building slowly, loving faithfully, trusting quietly.

I wasn’t sure if saying yes to the big canvas was a good idea. I had saved it. Protected it. Waited for a “better time” to use it. A part of me felt like if we mess this up, I can’t undo it.

And in all honesty? I didn’t fully trust that they’d be “ready.” I didn’t want to waste something I valued.

Maybe we should just use paper, I thought. At least we could throw it away if it didn’t turn out nice.

But then I felt God gently speak:
“They’re made in My image. Just as you think I’m creative so are they.”

And I was convicted. 🥹

Because the truth is I want to raise kids who are brave enough to try. But that also means I have to learn to let go. To not be afraid of the mess. To let them create with joy, not fear. And how can they do that if I don’t let go a little?

I caught myself trying to “fix” their work. Telling them how to paint, what colours to use…

And at one point, one of them paused, looked down, and said quietly, “You said it’s not nice” Then the tears came.

And my heart broke a little. 🥺

I realised in that moment that I don’t want to be the voice that makes them second-guess themselves. So I took a deep breath. Stepped back. (It was the hardest thing to do). And chose encouragement over correction. Joy over control. Process over perfection.

Because this isn’t just about painting.
It’s about building something in them, confidence, joy, freedom to create.

And I’m still learning too. I'm definitely not there yet 🙈

So here’s the lessons I've learnt:
🎨 Starting can feel risky, but not starting costs more.
🎨 My kids don’t need perfection — they need permission to try.
🎨 Sometimes the real masterpiece is in the memory not the result.
🎨 Keep going and trust the process!

And even though it featured dinosaurs 🦕💛 which are cute too, it's when the message is right — when it encourages, uplifts, and speaks — it becomes something you hold onto.

Halfway through sharing, I had to step away to settle the boys' lunch (mum life 🤗), and my husband stepped in and brought the whole story to life in the most heartfelt way. Not just what he drew — but why.

She left so happy. And said, “I know he is going to love this.” That made my day.

This is why we keep creating. To spread joy. And remind people that what you give can carry a whole lot more than what it seems.

I was so scared of the June holidays.

As a first-time P1 mum, I thought I had finally settled into some kind of rhythm… then suddenly it was June and everything was going to change again.

It wasn’t just one week off. It was a whole month. 😩 And I panicked.

How was I going to juggle everything?
Would I even get to work? If I couldn’t work, how was I supposed to earn?
I felt so overwhelmed — and to be honest, quite alone.

Then came the guilt.
Because other mums were excited to spend more time with their kids… and there I was, just feeling stressed.

So I turned to God 🥹. Slowly, help came. In little, unexpected ways — a last-minute camp slot, my MIL offering to help, a pop-up that turned out to be such a blessing, church camp… and my son receiving Jesus into his heart.

Looking back, I’m amazed.

He took care of my kids.
He took care of me.
He took care of my marriage.

And the verse that comes to mind:
He makes all things work together for good for those who love Him.
(Romans 8:28)

To paint something from my quiet time with God and then see how it speaks so deeply to someone else’s heart. Only He could have written a story like this.

She told me she had been searching for the right painting for so long. Nothing ever felt right. Until she saw "Rise Above".

The colours, the calm, the message — it all spoke to her. She lives by the sea, and this was a reminder for her to keep her eyes on Jesus…to walk on water and rise above the storm.

We finally met in person after months of planning to meet and it turned out to be her birthday. “My birthday gift to myself,” she smiled when I walked in.

Before I left, I prayed a little blessing over her and her home. That His peace would fill every corner of her space.

Moments like this… they remind me why I keep painting. Why I keep showing up. To create with purpose, and to let Him speak through every brushstroke. 💛

And honestly, it felt like I had to prove myself like everyone was waiting to see if I’d mess up.

But I did ask myself, “What if it doesn’t work out?” The fear of the unknown was very real.

But I also knew this:
When God calls, He provides.

I wanted to be fully present for my boys, for myself and to create meaningful art that spreads joy and reaches others.

As time passed, all I can say is…God has been there all along.

He is faithful.
He’s been leading us step by step, moment by moment.

It may not look like what the world expects. It may not even look like what I expected.

But with God, I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.
And friend, so are you.

💛 So trust Him.

As time passed, all I can say is…God has been there all along.

He is faithful.
He’s been leading us step by step, moment by moment.

It may not look like what the world expects. It may not even look like what I expected.

But with God, I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.
And friend, so are you.

4 years ago, I sat in my pastor’s office, torn between going back to corporate or giving this quiet dream a real shot.

With two little ones in tow, it was the scariest thing to think of.

And I was told — maybe now’s not the time for a new dream. But deep down, I knew I couldn’t stay.

So I left my job of 11 years and took a leap of faith. It was scary. Uncertain. Definitely not the “safe” route.

But I just wanted to be present — for my boys, for myself, and to create meaningful art that would bring joy.

Financially it was tough! We had just bought our home, were renovating and moving in. It would have been easier to give up

But God always provided in quiet and amazing ways.

We started with small pop-ups and barely anything on the table. Today…we’ve grown into a little studio of postcards, journals, stickers, dinos, canvas pieces, and custom art — all created with heart.

More importantly, we’ve gotten to meet so many of you, pray with some of you at our booth, and share the joy behind each creation.

She was not here by coincidence!

She said she felt sleepy at work and wanted to get a coffee but somehow she went to Level 2 and walked past Uniqlo. She didn’t even know why.

Then she saw the card that said, “You are loved” and decided to stop by.

She asked me, “Why do you do this?”
I said, “Oh so I can be with my kids.” But I felt there was more to it. So I added, “We want people to use our cards to bless and encourage others.”

Just then my friend came by and we started chatting. She overheard us and said, “I’m Christian too! I was troubled until I saw your card.”

So we prayed for her.
We blessed her and prayed for the peace of God—that He has great plans for her and loves her so much.

I’m so happy she left a little more encouraged.

This is why we keep showing up. 💛

Here’s how my day at the pop-up went...

They said, “Don’t do pop-ups during the June holidays—everyone’s travelling.”

But… you gotta make ends meet. 😅

So I packed and sent out giveaway journals in the morning, set up the booth, and quietly prayed that God would bring the ones He wanted here today.

It stayed quiet for a while. I had lunch, caught up on some Netflix behind the booth (as you do on slow days), and wondered if I’d made the right choice setting up this week.

Then the little surprises came.

✨ My friend who is a pastor came by. We talked about what was on my heart and she encouraged me 🤗
✨ A lady dropped by during her coffee break—and I got to pray for her and speak a blessing over her season.
✨ A friend, I haven’t seen in years, walked past too. We laughed and caught up like no time had passed.

And just like that, what felt like an “ordinary quiet day” became one full of gentle reminders that even slow days aren’t wasted when God’s in them.

My husband came by to help me close the booth and we ended the day with a simple dinner date.

Yesterday I found myself wondering… why did I choose the hard path?

The slower, less certain way of building this little business. Creating joyful things with my hands, while trying to stay present as a mum. Showing up with what little I have, migraines and all.

It would’ve been easier to skip the pop-up. Or leave him at home.

But then this quiet moment happened. Behind the table, my firstborn by my side, laughing and playing. A little glimmer of joy I didn’t expect. Hearing his laughter, seeing the joy on his face as we played together—it filled my heart in a way that felt like grace.

At the end of the day, I asked if he liked being at the pop-up… and if he’d want to do it again. I was ready for him to say no because it was a long day and honestly he was quite bored. But he grinned and said, “Yes.” Eagerly. Without hesitation.

And I was reminded—seeds take time. But this is time well spent. A quiet moment that filled my faith-filled heart. A small beginning that matters.

Maybe the hard path holds the sweetest treasures.
Maybe grace meets us in the ordinary.
Maybe these tiny, unseen moments are what inspire joy after all.

And these quiet glimmers... they remind me it’s worth it.

We had no idea it would have such an impact!

When we set out to design our Miracles of Jesus & Life of Jesus ang paos, we just wanted to create something meaningful to bless and for people to share Jesus with their loved ones during Chinese New Year.

What started as a fun “I spy with my little eye” idea (inspired by our kids’ books!) turned into something much more meaningful.

We were featured in Salt & Light, received so many kind words at our pop-ups, and even got to play a small part in an outreach to migrant workers from China.

Honestly, we’re just really thankful. Thankful that something so simple could speak to so many hearts. Thankful for every encouragement you’ve shared with us. And thankful we get to keep creating alongside Him.

So many of you said the ang paos meant something to you—and it made us wonder…what if it's more than just an ang pao? What if we could create something that holds space for your own walk with Him?

Because life gets noisy. And sometimes we forget. I get that! But when we write things down… we remember. Not just what we’ve been through, but what He’s brought us through.
